We are an independent (our conscience, taste, & community guide our decisions), alternative (who we are and what we stock set us apart), general (selection covers the array of tastes and interests of adults and children), and literary (focus on non-commercial literature) bookstore, founded in 1971. We are fiercely proud of our Buffalo roots, and proudly insistent that local independent businesses are the foundation of their communities.
