Farmer Pirates is a cooperative of urban farmers in Buffalo, NY. We share knowledge and equipment and buy supplies together in bulk. The cooperative facilitates shared ownership of the land we use to farm. We currently own three acres of land on the East Side and together cultivate more than five acres. We also operate a composting program to provide the necessary fertility and organic matter to grow healthy food. The compost program is focused on hauling food waste and brown matter generated in the city to our farms, where it is composted directly.
