City Lights Studio is a photography business specializing in portraiture of all kinds. I started the business in 2008 when I moved back to Buffalo after spending some time in Miami studying with some amazing portrait photographers. I have a passion for photographing people and working one-on-one with local clients to create whatever kind of imagery they are seeking. While starting a business was certainly not easy, starting my business in Buffalo was a wonderful experience. It's an incredible city, excited to support new growth.

I enjoy giving back to the city that has given me so many wonderful opportunities. I have actively done pro bono work for Big Brother Big Sister of WNY since 2008, and have made financial contributions to an after-school photography program in Rochester. City Lights Studio also donates gift certificates to various auctions & fundraisers, and supports the artistic community through the creation & distribution of NOMAD Art & Lit Magazine. I started NOMAD in 2008 as well; it functions as a portable gallery of local art and writing, showcasing the talent coursing throughout this city. There is no cost to submit and copies are distributed throughout the city for free. City Lights Studio and other local businesses pay for the printing of the magazine & make it possible to give copies away. I also support the Buffalo community by creating/hosting WAM (Writers/Artists/Musicians), which is a monthly networking event that showcases one new band & two new artists every month. These events are always free and open to the public and serve as a great arena for WNY residents to experience local talent first-hand.

As a small business owner, I understand the importance of supporting other local businesses. All of my printing is done locally, as well most equipment purchases. I also understand the importance of customer service. I offer fine-art weddings and custom portraiture with professional equipment and a modern product line, including designer albums, archival prints and artistic canvases. As a high-end studio, I am able to give full attention to fewer clients, which is important since my clients are my best advertisers, and most of my business comes from direct referrals.

I believe that my business has done so well in Buffalo because I have a fresh approach to standard portrait and wedding photography, and work closely with my clients, really listening to what they want, as well inputting my own creativity. I work very hard to make sure my clients are happy and have seen the results first-hand. Buffalo is a wonderful city to be working in, and I look forward to growing my business even more here.
